Photovoltaic Green House Program: funds for the Centre region were exhausted in two minutes

The Photovoltaic Green House program continued on Monday, with applications for residents of the Central region. People in the counties of Alba, Brasov, Covasna, Covasna, Harghita, Mures and Sibiu had 280 million lei available to apply for funding to install photovoltaic panels. But like the North-West region, the funds were exhausted in just two minutes after the application opened at 10:00. This trend reflects people’s growing interest in renewable energy sources and saving resources by installing solar panels.

Photovoltaic panels in high demand: funds run out in minutes

It was the same situation on Friday, when the program for the North-West region started. The allocation of 274.2 million lei was absorbed in two minutes, with 9,143 applications. On Tuesday, October 1, the opening of the session for the North-East region, which will have a budget of 319.3 million lei. This includes the counties of Bacău, Botoșani, Iași, Neamț, Suceava and Vaslui, and the authorities expect applications to come in just as quickly, given the huge interest in the first sessions. Each beneficiary can receive up to 30,000 lei from the state for the installation of photovoltaic panels and storage batteries, and the total budget allocated to the program this year is 2 billion lei.

Registration calendar: the program continues in other regions

The Photovoltaic Green House 2024 program provides the following timetable for applications:

This year, each region has just one day to apply, instead of three days as in the past. The authorities felt that, given the speed at which funds are being depleted, there was no need to extend the application session. In addition, high interest in the program has led to an unusual phenomenon: offers to sign up for a fee are circulating on the internet for people less experienced in using online applications. Prices for such services range from 300 to 1,000 lei, and those who offer them promise quick enrollment in a matter of tens of seconds.
