The company Delgaz Grid, a member of the E.ON Romania group, begins this month in Gorne\u0219ti, Mures county, tests on domestic customers to verify the functioning of the existing indoor installations and appliances with a mixture of natural gas (80%) and hydrogen (20%), the company said in a statement. <\/h1>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

“For this purpose, the company has selected several dozens of customers living in the locality of Mure\u0219 who will be among the first Romanians to participate in this project of national importance for the future of sustainable heating in Romania. Gorne\u0219tiul thus becomes the first town with a natural gas distribution network made of steel where such tests will be carried out, while D\u00e2rlos, in Sibiu County, is the first town where tests have been carried out on a polyethylene network”, the company points out<\/p>\n

“In the locality of D\u00e2rlos the home tests have been finalized for the 50 selected customers, the results being as expected, i.e. all the appliances working without any problems with the mixture of natural gas (80%) and hydrogen (20%). The company is starting preparations for the last part of the 2nd stage in this locality, i.e. testing the mixture of natural gas and hydrogen by introducing it directly into the natural gas distribution network”.<\/p>\n

The 20HyGrid project, which runs from November 2022 to October 2024, aims to demonstrate that it is technically possible and safe to add 20% of hydrogen to the existing distribution networks and natural gas utilization facilities in Romania. The customer’s facilities and distribution system components will not be modified for this process.<\/p>\n

The results of the project will serve as a model of best practice for future projects and for the use of hydrogen in a variety of areas, including heating, domestic hot water and food.<\/p>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_zigzag]\t\t
